Alok brings extensive legal expertise shaped by significant international experience, particularly during his distinguished career in the United Kingdom. After qualifying as a Solicitor with the Law Society of England and Wales in 1998, Alok practiced in London with top-tier City law firms, including Rakisons (now Steptoe Johnson) and Osborne Clarke. His tenure in the UK encompassed complex cross-border transactions, dispute resolution and advice to global clients, equipping him with a robust understanding of both common law systems and international commercial practices. This UK experience, combined with his comprehensive background in Indian legal matters forms his unique and strategic approach to solving client challenges at THS.

Returning to India, Alok Kumar built a distinguished career advising and representing high-profile Indian and international clients across diverse sectors. He has successfully handled significant disputes and commercial matters, such as assisting the State Trading Corporation in a dispute resolution under English jurisdiction involving claims of over ₹1,350 crore, advising on major transactions for Stepstone, Bank Kreiss/Yapi Kredi Bank, OilCol Ltda, Flexituff International, and large-scale infrastructure and corporate deals, including a US$2.5b commercial transaction for the State Trading Corporation and a US$1.6b fertilizer project for IFFCO and international lenders. He is regularly engaged by leading Indian banks and financial institutions in complex litigation, debt recovery and finance transactions.
